2/25/98...We have been receiving some information about the dangers of watching a solar eclipse without special glasses. However we are not sure that the glasses we have are the exact kind specially made for looking the eclipse. My question is: How can I watch the solar eclipse of tomorrow safely?

2/26/98...Hi!

    My name is Brenda Cherry, I am in 4th grade at the Southwestern Educational Society School (SESO) in Mayaguez, P.R. My science teacher is Mrs. Marybel Bonilla.

    It is 1:20 pm on thursday, February 26th, and here the eclipse started about 3 minute s ago. I have the special sunglasses to look at the sun but we are having many clouds so I can not see very well the sun.

    I want to know how is the eclipse in your town. I would like you to send me an e-mail with information so I can show my classmates. This is very exciting! I can imagine many years from know if any astronaut can be looking at an eclipse from space!     We really are a small planet! I wish everybody help to care for it so we can see many more eclipses...

My name is Rebecca . I do not know if you have the answer to this question. If you do I would thank you a million times!

   I live in Portland OR. And I am in an advanced science class at my school. My teacher, Mr. Berdmark, gave an assignment to the class to find out how "they" know that the next total solar eclipse will be around the year 2017. Does it h ave to do with the rotation of the sun , earth and moon? This is extremely important that I find out.
